Machine-written summary
Summary written by Claude Haiku from the source advisory. Not reviewed by a person.
Versions of dd-java-agent (Maven com.datadoghq:dd-java-agent) before 1.62.0 do not enforce item-count or byte-size limits when extracting W3C baggage HTTP headers. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a request with a very large baggage header, causing unbounded CPU and memory use and a denial of service in any HTTP service with baggage propagation enabled, which is the default in most affected tracers. Upgrade to version 1.62.0 or later. Alternatively, remove baggage from DD_TRACE_PROPAGATION_STYLE, or cap HTTP request header size at an upstream proxy or web server.
